Watch Dave Chappelle Spoof Negan On The Walking Dead And Kill His Most Famous Roles

Dave Chappelle knew fans wanted to see some of his beloved characters from Chappelle’s Show when he hostedSaturday Night Live on Saturday, and though the comic explained he wasn’t originally going to reprise any characters for the show, that all changed thanks to The Walking Dead.

“All week long people have been asking me if I’m gonna do any characters fromChappelle’s Show tonight, and at first I wasn’t going to,” he said. “Then I saw that episode of Walking Dead where they smash this guy Glenn on the head and killed him. I know, it was devastating. I love that show and Glenn was one of my favorite characters. I was crushed. So with that spirit and with that in mind, I hope you enjoy this.”

A taped sketch then followed, with Chappelle playing villain Negan and holding the character’s infamous barb wired-covered bat. “Bubblegum, bubblegum in a dish. How many pieces do you wish?” he chastises a group of kneeling captives, which we soon learn includes Tyrone Biggums, Lil Jon, Silky Johnson, and Clayton Bigsby from Chappelle’s classic Comedy Central series.

Bigsby (the blind white supremacist Chappelle played) ends up in a “Make America Great Again” cap while Biggums (a crack addict also played by Chappelle) gets decapitated and makes an impassioned speech about the recent election before running away, head in hands. (Literally.)
