GUNS N ROSES STADIUM TOUR 2017 BILLBOARDS POPPING UP IN BUFFALO, LANCASTER PA, MONTREAL, AND WINNIPEG WATCH TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT VIDEO

Aside from the whole Axl Rose shattering his foot thing, 2016 has gone swimmingly for Guns N’ Roses. The reunion has been roaring success, . So why not keep things rolling into 2017,

Guns N’ Roses have released a 30-second video proclaiming “The Machine Is Back at It in 2017” which will likely raise the hopes of fans that missed out on the early stages of this return to retro. The band have dates lined up in 2017 for countries like Japan, Australia and Singapore, but this clip seems to hint that North American fans could get another engagement with this era of GnR. Ultimate Classic Rock notes that some cities have seen new Guns N’ Roses billboards pop up, like in Montreal ON  Buffalo, NY Lancaster PA, Winnipeg ON where there was no Not in This Lifetime… Tour appearance.

Naturally, this is all just a bit of speculation about a video designed to get people to say and guess assorted things related to Guns N’ Roses. Speculation can be fun, so consider us intrigued.

“Everybody’s working together to keep a common goal – keep the machine going,” said production manager Dale “Opie” Skjerseth this summer in an interview with Atlanta’s WXIA. “Everybody’s older. They carry their families with them. They all have to have their spaces. Everybody meets before we go onstage. It’s a meeting point – and that’s where the chemistry happens.”

A newly released GUNS N’ ROSES commercial on that aired on Friday (November 25) on AT&T‘s Game Show Network appears to suggest that the band will return in 2017 with more U.S. tour dates.

The 30-second clip, which can be seen below, contains footage from GN’R‘s summer 2016 “Not In This Lifetime” U.S. stadium tour along with the message: “They’re back for more in 2017”.

GUNS N’ ROSES currently has shows booked in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Thailand and United Arab Emirates between January and early March, with a European tour rumored to be kicking off in July.

The “Not In This Lifetime” tour features classic GUNS N’ ROSES lineup members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Axl Rose (vocals) backed by drummer Frank Ferrer, guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and new second keyboardist Melissa Reese.

 

According to Billboard, the North American leg of the “Not In This Lifetime” summer stadium tour grossed a whopping $116.8 million with over one million tickets sold, a staggering amount for a rock band in 2016.The trek kicked off on June 23 and included 25 concerts in 21 stadiums, wrapping on August 22.Out of the stadiums that hosted the band for two performances, the New York City market produced the top box office counts with ticket sales reaching $11.6 million at MetLife Stadium from 100,177 fans at two concerts. Meanwhile, Chicago’s Soldier Field, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts and L.A.’s Dodger Stadium each topped the $8 million mark in revenue from their two-show stints.
