STEPHEN KING ADAPTATION 11/22/63 REACHES HULU ON PRESIDENT’S DAY
A date has been set for when the Bad Robot production of Stephen King’s 11/22/63 will make its debut on Hulu, and while the nine hour event series won’t be streaming in time for this year’s anniversary of its titular date, at least we won’t have to wait until next November for it. The series will premiere on a date that’s still appropriate in a way: February 15, 2016. President’s Day.
11/22/63 stars James Franco as
Jake Epping, an unassuming divorced English teacher who stumbles upon a time portal that leads to 9/9/1958 and goes on a quest to try and prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, his falling in love and a past that doesn’t want to be changed.
Franco’s co-stars include Sarah Gadon, Chris Cooper, Cherry Jones, Daniel Webber, George MacKay, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Jack Fulton, and Leon Rippy.
Bridget Carpenter handled the adaptation of King’s 880 page tome and served as an executive producer with King, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk.
The first two hours of the show were directed and executive produced by Kevin Macdonald.
I will be watching this one for sure. Will you be checking it out?
