Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness jumps in crowd to fight fan. Fan was giving Ness Middle finger after Ness went on a anti Donald J. Trump rant
The fan, Tim Hildebrand, claims Ness turned the show “political” by speaking out against President Trump and he stood in protest with his middle finger in the air for two songs. Ness then called him to the front of the crowd and they exchanged a few words before the frontman came down from the stage and physically confronted him. CBS reports that Hildebrand left with two black eyes, a busted lip, a concussion and a nearly knocked-out tooth. “Someone that has the status that he does shouldn’t get away with assaulting someone,” Hildebrand stated.
Another fan in attendance at the show told CBS, “It was a little bit excessive. If you’re that into politics, don’t put yourself in a situation where it could become a problem for you.”
Hildebrand added, “If he wants to have a talk someday, man to man, I would love that but he would have to not be a child about it.” CBS reports that they have reached out to Sacramento police who confirmed an investigation is underway. They also reached out to Social Distortion’s manager, who said the band have no comment. You can watch the original video report on the matter below.
