Slash’s Brother Still Apologizing For Calling Axl Rose A “Fat Bastard”

A new photo of GUNS N’ ROSES lead singer Axl Rose, purportedly taken last week by a fan named Suzy Khoury, can be seen below (courtesy of the Guns N’ Roses France e Twitter account).

Rose hasn’t made a public appearance since the last incarnation of GUNS N’ ROSES concluded a residency in Las Vegas in June 2014.

Ash Hudson, the brother of GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist Slash, in September apologized for calling Rose a “fat bastard” in a lengthy rant on Facebook.

In the post, Hudson told fans clamoring for a reunion of the classic lineup to “get a life,” saying, “If you love GUNS, enjoy what they made and move on. Axl is a fat bastard and the reunion would only be a disappointment and an action that would result in criticism.”

Hudson later did a turnaround, writing, “I apologize to Axl and his legions of fans who were offended by my post. It has come to me attention that Axl is on a strict diet and losing weight. Unfortunately, my post was very offensive and upsetting to my brother, for which I apologize.”

Hudson added, “To the rest of the world, I had one of these days when people kept asking me about a possible reunion and I had had enough. Again, my apologies.”

Slash in August revealed that he and Rose had repaired their estranged relationship after nearly 20 years, immediately leading to a storm of speculation about a possible reunion of the classic GUNS lineup.

GUNS N’ ROSES, with Slash and Rose, will reportedly headline next year’s Coachella Music And Arts Festival in Indio, California, which is set for April 15 through April 17 and April 22 through April 24. The band is also currently in negotiations to do a 25-date football stadium tour in North America next summer for which they’re asking $3 million per show. Tickets for the shows are slated to sell for between $250 and $275.
