Sinister 2 Star Nick King AKA “Buguul” To Appear at Parahorror Opening Weekend of The FIlm
If you’re excited for the return of Bughuul, have we got a treat for you: Today we exclusively bring you the first official clip from Ciaran Foy’s SINISTER 2!
In said clip, the first film’s Deputy So & So (James Ransone) and occult specialist Dr. Stromberg (Tate Ellington) discuss the ominous trademarks of the franchise’s villain, Bughuul, aka Mr. Boogie. The atmosphere is thick with tension and foreboding, so turn up your speakers, turn down the lights, and lean in close…
In the aftermath of the shocking events in “Sinister,” a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life brothers Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Bughuul continues to spread with frightening intensity.
Written by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, SINISTER 2 opens August 21st.
For those of you who missed out on the first film, SINISTER followed that of a true-crime writer (Ethan Hawke) who found a cache of 8mm home movies suggesting the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial killer. What he discovered was something much more . . . wait for it . . . sinister! While Hawke will not be making a return appearance, the sequel will continue it’s tale of terror, this time following a young mother and her twin sons as they move into a rural house that is marked for death. Talk about a tough listing! You can check out what the family is in for with the first trailer below!
While I was pretty iffy on SINISTER’s endgame, there’s no denying that the movie excelled at delivering some major creep factor, especially with the home movies. It’s original director, Scott Derrickson, is a little busy working on Marvel’s DOCTOR STRANGE, so we unfortunately don’t have that talent behind the camera for this outing. On the flipside we do have the lovely Shannyn Sossamon, who needs to be in more high-profile movies. Anything less would be sinister. End scene.
SINISTER 2 hits theaters on August 21, 2015.
