Seether is a South African rock band founded in 1999 in Pretoria, South Africa. The band was originally formed under the name Saron Gas until renaming it to Seether in 2002. Disclaimer is their original album and major label debut. They gained mainstream popularity in 2002 with their US Active Rock #1 single “Fine Again,” and their success was sustained in 2004 with the single “Broken” which peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. They have experienced continued success with #1 hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart such as “Remedy“, “Fake It“, and “Country Song“.
Sofa King Cool caught up with Dale Stewart of Seether and we talked about the freedom the band had while writing “Isolate and Medicate” how they found out their record label sold their contract, how rock and roll is taking a back seat to other genres, Possibly taking the Rise Above festival on the road, downloading music, kids with bootlegs, and getting to work on the next album
Dale Stewart of Seether gives us a story from the raod in which he tells us how someone pissed all over the carpet on the tour bus and they had had to hire rug cleaners to take care of it and had Eugene Welgemoed wear only a thong with his balls hanging out and great the cleaners and show them what needed to cleaned
