Rob Zombie Adds Sons Of Anarchy Star To 3 From Hell

You can usually expect a newly announced cast member for a Rob Zombie movie to either be a familiar face from 1970s or ’80s pop culture or one of his regular collaborators, and that expectation has held up with each casting announcement for his latest film, 3 FROM HELL, to this point. In this sequel to HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, and Sheri Moon Zombie will be reprising their roles from those films, with Daniel Roebuck also returning to reprise his role from THE DEVIL’S REJECTS. They are joined in the cast by ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13‘s Austin Stoker, genre icon Dee Wallace, and Zombie regular Jeff Daniel Phillips.

Now Zombie has switched things up. The latest 3 FROM HELL cast member to be announced is Emilio Rivera, who has racked up 130 credits in twenty-six years of screen acting and is best known for playing the role of Marcus Alvarez on the FX television series Sons of Anarchy. This marks Zombie and Rivera’s first time working together.

Among Rivera’s credits are appearances on The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., The X-Files, and Weeds, as well as 11 episodes of Z Nation. He has also been in the films CON AIR and COLLATERAL.

Honestly (and somewhat embarrassingly), given the fact that I have never seen an episode of Sons of Anarchy, Rivera’s role as “Policeman at Sand Truck” in SPIDER-MAN 3 is probably the one I’ve seen the most of.

Aside from the casting announcements, details on 3 FROM HELL are being kept tightly under wraps, but we’re keeping a close eye on the project anyway.
