Ozzy Osbourne Snags Geezer Butler, Tom Morello and Slash for 2015 Voodoo Festival Headline Set
The lineup for the 2015 Voodoo Music + Arts Experience has been revealed and Ozzy Osbourne is one of the event’s headliners, with some very special guests joining him for his set. According to the newly announced lineup, Osbourne will be playing with his Black Sabbath bandmate Geezer Butler on bass and guitar greats Tom Morello and Slash during the New Orleans-based festival. He’s set to headline the Saturday, Oct. 31 bill.
As you may recall, there was talk that Black Sabbath would say their farewell at an event at Ozzfest Japan this past fall. However, those plans eventually changed with Osbourne headlining an Ozzy + Friends set. The Voodoo Festival announcement is the first indication of who some of the guests might be that will join Osbourne at any appearances this year.
The festival’s other two headliners are Florence + the Machine, who will open the Friday festivities on Oct. 30, and Zac Brown Band, who will close out the music weekend on Nov. 1. Aside from Osbourne, there are a handful of harder rocking acts heading to New Orleans’ City Park over Halloween weekend. The Friday bill includes sets from Gerard Way and Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls. Saturday has Jane’s Addiction, Clutch and Babes in Toyland. And Sunday has The Cult, Fishbone and The Temperance Movement on the bill. To check out the full lineup, click here.
