Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister on Radiohead: ‘They’re Not Very Good’

Don’t talk to Lemmy ’bout no “sonic depth.”

Sometimes cooler heads don’t prevail. Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister revealed in a recent interview that he’s just not into Radiohead.

Chatting with Kilmister on board the band’s Motörboat cruise, Consequence of Sound asked about bands reinventing themselves.

“Bands like Radiohead are changing their sound with every album,” the interviewer began, to which Lemmy replied, “And they’re not very good.”

“Not a Radiohead fan?” “No,” Lemmy deadpanned right back. He did admit Motörhead “are getting kind of samey” with their “fast and hard” sound and indicated they’ve considered a covers album and an acoustic album.

In the end, he indicates that he thinks another Motörboat cruise could happen in 2016.

Motorhead is out promoting its 22nd studio album, Black Magic, which dropped in August 2015.
