Mötley Crüe Rock On in New Comic Book

Mötley Crüe may have just completed their farewell tour in sold out stadiums throughout the USA, but they will be rocking on in a new comic book based on the band’s story.

“Mötley Crüe: Livin’ The Fast Life” is a comic series focused on the band’s crazy, drug-fueled rock star antics throughout the years, as well as the incredible, innovative music that got them to the top and earned them a huge following among rock fans.

Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil may have ended their on-stage band career with a spectacular final show at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, but their rock and roll legacy will always live on, as this comic book tribute shows. The comic was illustrated by Singaporean native Jayfri Hashim, who wrote the story along with Michael Frizell, and will be released as part of the Orbit series of comics.

The creators have remained silent on much of the subject matter, but have intrigued audiences with the promise that the comics will “highlight some of the more fanciful aspects of Crue’s mythology” (according to Frizell).

It’s only available for digital release and it’s free if you have Amazon Prime. Click Here to get your copy

The band known as much for their talent onstage as their antics offstage, Mötley Crüe epitomized the drug-fueled, sex-riddled excess of 1980’s metal acts. In the process, they forged a rock dynasty few other bands have been able to achieve. Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, and Vince Neil became household names, the scourge of the Christian right, and the darlings of the Billboard charts.
