MC Ren Slams N.W.A ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Movie Trailers: ‘How the Hell You Leave Me Out?’
MC Ren took to social media to express his frustration with Universal Pictures for not depicting him in the Straight Outta Compton movie trailers.
“Man f— these bitches at universal pictures leaving me out the movie trailers tryin to rewrite history,” Ren tweeted on Wednesday, June 10.

The string of honest tweets are valid. Ren — who is played by Adis Hodge in the film — was a member of N.W.A along with Ice Cube, the late Eazy-E, DJ Yella andDr. Dre. Unfortunately, the trailers don’t include an appearance by Neil Brown Jr. (who plays Yella) either.

MC Ren is scheduled to reunite with Ice Cube and DJ Yella to perform N.W.A classics at the BET Experience on June 27. Straight Outta Compton, co-produced by Dre and Eazy-E’s widow Tomica Woods-Wright, will debut in theaters on August 14.
