Kelly Osbourne on Donald Trump’s Anti-Immigrant Stance: ‘Who Is Going to Be Cleaning Your Toilet?’

Osbourne has since apologized, saying, “I whole-hearted f—ed up today.”

On Tuesday’s (Aug. 4) episode of The View, new co-host Kelly Osbourne jumped into a conversation about Donald Trump’s Mexican immigration remarks with a controversial statement.

“If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” Osbourne said, as Rosie Perez talked about Trump’s comments.

Osbourne immediately backtracked as her co-hosts expressed offense. “In the sense that…you know what I mean?” Osbourne said.

When Perez said, “Latinos are not only…,” Osbourne jumped in and said, “No, I didn’t mean it like that! Come on! I would never mean it like that! I’m not part of this argument.”

Osbourne has since apologized for her comment, writing on Facebook: “I whole-hearted f—ed up today. I don’t want to bullshit anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point, I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words … I’ve learned a very valuable lesson.”

Perez has also apologized to Osbourne for her shocked reaction on the show.

But the rest of the Internet hasn’t quite backed off yet: Among a barrage of tweets expressing outrage at Osbourne’s comment, L.A. Dodgers player Enrique Hernandez wrote, “Heading to the stadium early so that I can clean the toilets in the clubhouse! Right? @KellyOsbourne.”
