Interview with the founder of then now always
Then….
Then, Now, Always began on a dimly lit merch table in small clubs while out on tour with my old band. We thought necklaces would be cool to match our album title and symbol. As luck would have it, the band broke up after many years of great memories and heartaches and I took to the road all the way out to the Pacific Northwest to propose to my future wife on the Oregon Coast. From there, we drove all over the US during the summer while I sold our necklaces outside of any concert festival I could. One summer, we sold everything we owned, moved out of Florida and went on the road to travel with the necklaces until we landed in Portland, OR.
Now…
I am a pretty nostalgic guy and often look back on all the great photos, long drives, and friends met along the way and realize how all of these moments have shaped me and how I value everything in my life. I am constantly reminded that everything changes in this life, how nothing will stay the same and that there is a reason for everything. It’s like we set out looking for anything new and different while our hearts long for the same things throughout our life. Like understanding a deeper meaning. Finding love that is unconditional and never changes. Or just finding that sense of the familiar to know what its like to be cared about. It is this eternal sense that makes Then, Now, Always a truly unique brand unlike others. It’s this sense that keeps inspiring us to create goods in the US that are relevant and compelling to share your story, your experience, and create a memory with a friend or someone new.
Always…
Our brand can always promise the best promise we have been given in the book of Hebrews 13:8. We will constantly face changes, the unknown, the highs and the lows, and the doubts and clarity that faith can bring but God never went anywhere yet has always been right there. We will all continue our journey on this road, make memories, and come out better for it with the relationships we build and invest in. Then, Now, Always hopes to continue those conversations well into many sunsets and cultivate new ones as the sun rises for years to come with many great memories ahead. X
