Praise For Hundred Visions:

“Taut, wound-up new-bruisers Hundred Visions come from contemporary Austin, but sound beamed straight outta 1979, connecting the line between the between the breezy American power pop of bands like the Shoes and the jagged Brit post-punkers of Gang of Four” Spin

“The song kicks off quick with sharp guitar lines and harsh, monstrous distortion. It feels like the speakers could blow up at any moment with the band blaring their instruments as much as their gear will permit. Even when the tempo dips slightly after the chorus, vocalist Ben Maddox still sneers with punk rock vitality. Every second of the song blisters relentlessly, from the forceful beginning all the way through the fuzzed-out breakdown at the end.” –Consequence of Sound

“The Austin, TX, band’s secret weapon that night was actually the oldest trick in the book: Well-crafted songs” –Fuse

“Blistering garage rock. I had seen the band once before, at a New Year’s Eve party at Cheer Up Charlie’s, during which people climbed the rafters and crowd surfed dangerously close to the ceiling –Pop Press International

“Nasty, loud, vicious power-pop that careens drunkenly out of a garage stacked with crates of Replacements and Ramones end-of-the-punk-rock-fulcrum 45s” –Austin Chronicle

Listen To ‘You’re Gonna Cut Me Loose’ On Consequence Of Sound

Originally hailing from the remote strip-mall wastes of West Texas, the Hundos – or at least, three quarters of the band in singer/guitarist Ben Maddox, bassist Wes Turner, and guitarist Johnny Krueger, first began playing together as teenagers.  After moving to Austin, they hooked up with drummer Eric Loftis and formed Hundred Visions in 2010, releasing several 7-inches. Their 2012 debut Permanent Basement was released shortly after their US/Canada tour with fellow Austinites White Denim. Their second album, SPITE, will be released by Pau Wau Records this fall.
