Vincent Pastore — whose Big Pussy character on “The Sopranos” was assassinated — is lucky his dispute with Danny Provenzano is a court case.

“If it was a TV show, I’d already have him whacked,” Provenzano told me with a laugh.

Provenzano is a grandnephew of Anthony “Tony Pro” Provenzano, the late Teamsters official long suspected of being involved in the death of Jimmy Hoffa.

His movie, “This Thing of Ours” — starring Pastore, James Caan and Frank Vincent — came out in 2003, about the same time he was sent to prison on anti-racketeering charges of using beatings and kidnappings to extort more than a dozen “business associates.”

Pastore came to the New Jersey courthouse during the trial to show support for Provenzano.

On May 15, the two are scheduled to be in court again in Hackensack — this time as adversaries.

Provenzano sued Pastore for failing to show up for a three-day shoot in 2013, where Provenzano planned to have Pastore star in a TV pilot, “Manhattan, Kansas,” with actress Sean Young.

“It’s a simple situation. I hired him to do a job,” Provenzano said.

“The t’s were crossed. The i’s were dotted. And he just didn’t show up.”

Pastore’s lawyer Suzy Yengo, president of Catch a Rising Star, said Pastore didn’t show because it was a nonunion shoot. “Vinnie is a proud SAG-AFTRA and Equity member. He will not cross a union line.”

Provenzano said Pastore previously blamed the weather and a health issue. “That’s excuse No. 4,” he said. “Plenty of nonunion work Vinnie has done for me before.”

“He’s a rat. That’s what he is. By not showing up, he threw 60 people under the bus,” Provenzano said. “My investors got screwed.”

Complaint v Pastore

Now we had the chance to interview Vincent this past week. We had planned on speaking with him about Danny, his upcoming films, new tv shows, The Sopranos, and his band. Our interview was set for 2pm after he took a helicopter tour, then pushed to 4:30 when we showed up at the venue. This Was pushed to 5:30. We arrive at 5:30 and he is doing sound check till 6:30. We are told to set up our equipment in the middle of the restaurant, While we start to do so a manager of The Hard Rock suggests a quit back room, and we thanked him and we begin to set up. At that point we hear Vinnie yelling and screaming that if we do not start filming now he was walking, so we were unable to set up our lights or both microphones. Vinnie then tells us we have less then 5 minutes to do the interview and it is just about his new band. We truly were looking forward to this interview and are very disappointed with the outcome   Here is some footage of soundcheck and our 3 minute interview.
