Here’s the Full Cast of American Horror Story: Hotel
Check out which ghoulish guests are gonna be shacking up with you this season!
Lady Gaga as Elizabeth
Occupation: Owner of the Hotel Cortez
Ryan Murphy says:
Her character name is Elizabeth, she owns the hotel and is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people. she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode that plays out over the course of the season.
Everybody who does the show has to start with something disturbing and awful right away. And I think the first two days [Lady Gaga] has a pretty spectacular murder scene to shoot with Matt Bomer. And I’m glad that she has Matt. Because she’s so great and they’ve all socialized… I can’t say enough great things about her.
Gaga said, ‘I want to be evil’ and I said, ‘OK, you’ve come to the right place.’
Sarah Paulson as Hypodermic Sally
Occupation: Sexy drug addict and permanent hotel resident
Previous AHS Appearances: Billie Dean Howard (Murder House), Lana Winters (Asylum), Cordelia Foxx (Coven), Bette and Dot Tattler (Freak Show)
Sarah Paulson says:
I play Sally, I live at the hotel. I hate Iris in a rather ancient way for reasons that are revealed quickly. I have a kind of budding something with Wes’ character, sort of dark.
My character this year is quite dark, she’s sexy, she’s a drug addict… Not that drug addicts are sexy. This girl happens to be quite sexy… not because I’m sexy. I should just stop talking and be quiet. She’s unlike anything I’ve ever done in this show.
Kathy Bates as Iris
Occupation: Hotel Manager
Previous AHS Appearances: Delphine LaLurie (Coven), Ethel Darling (Freak Show)
Kathy Bates says:
I play Iris. I run the hotel. I have relationships with Matt Bomer and with Wes and I can’t stand [Sarah Paulson], I hate [Paulson]. Oh, Liz Taylor and I have a very close relationship and I do crossword puzzles in my spare time.
Angela Bassett as Ramona Royale
Occupation: Actress
Previous AHS Appearances: Marie Laveau (Coven), Desiree Dupree (Freak Show)
Angela Bassett says:
I play Ramona Royale and I’m sexy as well. I have a very strong, real, lasting relationship with [Lady Gaga’s] character. My character is also this fabulous actress of the day. I don’t live in the hotel, but I visit there often.
Wes Bentley as John Lowe
Occupation: Detective investigating foul play in the hotel
Previous AHS Appearances: Edward Mordrake (Freak Show)
Wes Bentley says:
I play Det. John Lowe, married to Alex. We had a great loss in the family. [I’m] investigating some grisly murders, which someone leads me to checking into the hotel.
Chloë Sevigny as Alex Lowe
Occupation: Doctor and John’s wife
Previous AHS Appearances: Shelley (Asylum)
Chloe Sevigny says:
I play Alex Lowe, I’m the wife of Wes Bentley and a mother and a doctor, dealing with a great loss that we had in our family, coming to grips with that, among other things.
Matt Bomer as Donovan
Occupation: ? Personally, I think that ‘Donovan’ sounds like a very manservant kinda name. Just saying!
Previous AHS Appearances: Andy (Freak Show)
Matt Bomer says:
I play Donovan, who is closely associated with Ms. Gaga and Ms. Bates and Mr. Wittrock, amongst others. He’s very interesting relationships with the ladyfolk in his life, I’ll just leave it at that.
Denis O’Hare as Liz Taylor
Occupation: Bar worker in the hotel
Previous AHS Appearances: Larry Harvey (Murder House), Spalding (Coven), Stanley (Freak Show)
Denis O’Hare says:
I’m playing Liz Taylor, but not the real Elizabeth Taylor … [she’s] a person who is inspired by the awesomeness of things like ‘Butterfield 8′ and ‘Cleopatra.’ I shaved my head for the part — and other body parts. I work in the bar, called Blue Parrot Lounge.
Cheyenne Jackson as Will Drake
Occupation: Fashion icon – maybe something to do with Naomi Campbell’s role as a fashion editor?
Cheyenne Jackson says:
I play Will Drake, fashion icon. He’s trying to creatively reestablish himself, so moves from New York to Los Angeles. [He’s a] father, and a little desperate.
Evan Peters as Mr. March
Occupation: Unknown
Previous AHS Appearances: Tate Langdon (Murder House), Kit Walker (Asylum), Kyle Spencer (Coven) and Jimmy Darling (Freak Show)
Evan Peters says:
I play Donovan, who is involved in the Hotel Cortez. Closely associated with Ms. Gaga and Ms. Bates, Mr. Wittrock, amongst others. He has very interesting relationships with the lady folk in his life.
Finn Wittrock as Tristan Duffy
Occupation: Male model
Previous AHS Appearances: Dandy Mott (Freak Show)
Finn Wittrock says:
I’m playing a male model named Tristan Duffy who is always looking for the next high, and I think sort of finds the biggest high in Lady Gaga. We have a lot to do together, she sees all of me.
Max Greenfield as an Addict
Occupation: Addict who is staying in the hotel
Ryan Murphy says:
He plays an addict who checks into the hotel and tangles with Sarah Pauslon … He cut off his beautiful hair and dyed it and we had to let the roots grow in. And I think he’s lost 30 pounds. Yesterday I talked to him and his waist is down to a 27, he’s really committed to it. … He really pushed himself as an actor.
Richard T. Jones as Detective Hahn
Occupation: Detective
Lily Rabe as Aileen Wuornos
Occupation: Infamous real-life serial killer
Previous AHS Appearances: Nora Montgomery (Murder House), Sister Mary Eunice (Asylum and Freak Show), Misty Day (Coven)
Ryan Murphy says:
Our Halloween episode this year is called ‘Devil’s Night.’ I’m directing it because I love the script so much, I said I can’t give this to anybody else. Lily Rabe is coming to that episode and she’s playing Aileen Wuornos, which is really fun and bizarre. I will tell you that she’s at the centerpiece and that’s who she’s playing.
Mädchen Amick
Occupation: Mother with an ailing son
Helena Mattsson as Agnetha
Occupation: ?
Emma Roberts
Occupation: Uknown
Previous AHS Appearances: Madison Montgomery (Coven), Maggie Esmerelda (Freak Show)
Ryan Murphy says:
She’s still going to do a couple episodes of ‘Horror Story’ at the end. She comes at the end. She comes and she has a great thing with Evan Peters at the end.
