(Wilmington, NC) -These days the North Carolina band He Is Legend seems to be perpetually on the road. The group announced ANOTHER new tour today. Once they return from their run in Europe they will be heading out with Wounds and Maylene & the Sons of Disaster for 13 dates in November. This is a continuation of the “Mega Deaf Tour” that took place earlier this year, but this time it will see dates in Canada. Shortly after that, the quintet will join Snot on their upcoming reunion tour.
All this extensive touring is in support of their critically acclaimed recent release Heavy Fruit. It was made available via Tragic Hero Records and debuted at no. 1 on theBillboard Heatseekers chart. Revolver Magazine gave the album a 4.5/5 stars and said “He Is Legend is exploring novel musical territory. Their melodicism seems to take influences from many styles—grunge, emo, and post-hardcore among them—but never sounds forced amid heavier elements.”
Heavy Fruit was produced by Mitch Marlow (Filter, In This Moment) and mixed byBob Marlette (Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie).

About He Is Legend:
He Is Legend signed to Tragic Hero Records in 2009 to release It Hates You, an album that has garnered a cult like following. Shortly thereafter, the group decided to take a break. “Having the time off and being home and seeing a different side of life, it offers a great perspective,” says vocalist Schuylar Croom. “When you’re in a different city every night for 8-10 years and then you get to be home for two years it’s kind of a culture shock.” After a five year hiatus, they recruited drummer Sam Huff and had a new spark musically. They felt the time was right to record the long awaited fourth album Heavy Fruit with producer and ex-band member Mitch Marlow (Filter). “We have a lot of history with Mitch, him having been in our band at one point, and we know that with him we are going to get the kind of awesome fart sounds that we want on a new record and we will be completely at ease and comfortable,” says Croom. The record debuted on 8/19 at number one on the iTunes Metal chart and number three on the Rock chart.
