Gene Simmons talks KISS, COVID-19 and self-quarantine
KISS has put the brakes on its tour, and like all of us, Gene is at home right in the middle of his ‘stay at home’ tour. He talks about how dangerous it is to gather in groups, the impact coronavirus has had on the music industry, and he thanks the first responders for all their help during this time.
He goes on to say ” Just horrific things I’m reading about in the media about well-meaning and religious people going to church and calling their flock in and stuff and just it’s so dangerous it’s so dangerous. You know I happened to overhear a conversation between God and all of humanity and God actually said Hey you guys I can hear you just fine if you stay at home OK. You don’t have to gather in big groups if you just talk to me directly. I’ll hear you just fine. I created everything. It’s such a crazy time right now. Really. Yeah. I’m telling you I’m so grateful to everybody out there who risks their lives for you guys and me.
look we can talk about the big numbers and that means billions of dollars that are lost.
The rich and the famous and the good looking folks who wear silly outfits like this and have silly hair like this just billions of dollars flushed down the drain. So what you’re talking about. Single mothers and families who live from check chains and people who actually put on these concerts the security people the road crews all that stuff for you. You know this is important this is a survival story for the folks in and around this city the infrastructure or the people who are suffering the most. So we’re doing our part. You know we have a restaurant chain called rock n rollers to Italy L.A. store all over Southern California and across the nation everything. We put a stop to it and we’re actually writing checks to important stuff. I just sent a nice big check to the children’s hospital here in L.A. because you’ve not only heard of children suffering from this horrible things. There are children who are also fighting cancer. So everybody can do their part.
There are food banks. You guys are doing great. Everybody can do this stuff.
Stay at home. Get to know your wifey. She wants to see you more often anyway
