Gene Simmons has spoken to TV show producer Mark Burnett about finding next KISS musicians

KISS bassist, singer and co-founder Gene Simmons was recently interviewed by Jane Stevenson for the Toronto Sun and spoke about a myriad of topics including his new foray as “Chief Evangelist Officer” for the Canadian cannabis producer Invictus.

The Toronto Sun interview does mention other Simmons tidbits of information including he’s spoken to reality TV show producer Mark Burnett about finding the next generation of KISS musicians when they’re ready to retire to which Simmons comments, “We can’t do this forever.”

Simmons‘ long-time KISS bandmate, Paul Stanley, has repeatedly expressed his view that he thinks that KISS can continue without any of its original members or in other words without Simmons and himself.

Other tidbits of information from Simmons include he’ll be in Toronto, Ontario, Canada hand delivering his The Vault box set to fans on May 5 and 6, 2018 and the Gene Simmons Band will headline the CannaFest in Grand Forks, British Columbia, Canada on August 24 to 25, 2018.

In terms of his relationship with new Ontario Progressive Conservatives leader Doug Ford‘s deceased brother and former Toronto mayor Rob FordSimmons advised: “(He) used to e-mail me in the middle of the night with all kinds of stuff… Sometimes personal (things like), ‘Hey, what are you doing?’ We met through the CEO of the then largest auto parts company. She’s a friend and we used to be in business together, a business relationship, and Rob was there.”
