Forest Whitaker to take part in The Crow remake and Star Wars: Rogue One
Last week we released some exclusive details regarding the STAR WARS anthology film, ROGUE ONE, of which you can read here. Suffice it to say that this film really looks to deliver an experience unlike any other we’ve seen in the STAR WARS universe, and the cast so far is very telling of that. Announced as of now are Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, and Sam Clafin, although it looks like veteran actor Forest Whitaker will be added to that line-up shortly.
No mention has been made of Whitaker’s role or whether or not he would play a good/bad guy, but any side would be lucky to have him. Nothing’s been finalized yet but once it is, I’m sure Lucasfilm will issue a proper announcement, especially in light of word getting out.
It’s also worth noting that apparently he’s also looking to jump on board THE CROW remake before he tackles things in a galaxy far, far away. Again, there’s no official word on who he might play, but he seems to be a shoe-in for Ernie Hudson‘s Sergeant Albrecht character from the original. Then again, when it comes to all things CROW remake, I’ll believe it when I see it!
THE CROW is looking to hit theaters sometime in 2016, while STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE arrives on December 16, 2016.
