Crosby, Stills, and Nash have broken up Graham Nash says his relationship with David Crosby has deteriorated to the point where the band can no longer exist

Graham Nash has vowed that Crosby, Stills and Nash will never again perform together, effectively bringing to an end one of music’s most fruitful collaborations

In a pair of interviews, Nash revealed that his relationship with David Crosbyhas deteriorated to the point where the band can no longer exist.

“I don’t like David Crosby right now,” Nash told Dutch magazine Lust For Life. “He’s been awful for me the last two years, just fucking awful. I’ve been there and saved his fucking ass for 45 years, and he treated me like shit. You can’t do that to me. You can do it for a day or so, until I think you’re going to come around.”

“When it goes on longer, and I keep getting nasty emails from him, I’m done. Fuck you!” Nash added. “David has ripped the heart out of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young … How can I not be sad? Look at the music we probably lost. How can I not be sad about that? The truth is, after being totally immersed in me and David and Stephen and Neil’s music, I’m done. I’ve had 10 years of it. Leave me the fuck alone. I need to concentrate on me now.”

In a follow-up interview with Billboard, Nash doubled down in his comments, saying, “Right now, I don’t want anything to do with Crosby at all. It’s just that simple. In my world there will never, ever be a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young record and there will never be another Crosby, Stills & Nash record or show.”

In a 2014 interview with Howard Stern,Neil Young expressed similar sentiments toward Crosby. “Playing with [Stephen] Stills and Nash was really great,” Young told Stern, adding, “I wish [Crosby] the best with his life. There’s love there, there’s just nothing else there.” He said at one point their relationship was fixable, but not anymore.

The bad blood stemmed from Crosby calling Young’s girlfriend Daryl Hannah a “purely poisonous predator.” Crosby has since apologized for his comments, saying, “I have screwed up massively. Daryl Hannah never wound up in a Texas prison [like I did]. I’m screwed up way worse than that girl. Where do I get off criticizing her? She’s making Neil happy. I love Neil and I want him happy.” Nevertheless, Young has said that Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young would never play again “in a million years.”

Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young last performed together at Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit concert in October 2013. The following year, Crosby, Still, and Nash embarked on an extensive tour in the United States and Europe, but have remained inactive ever since.
