Born of Osiris Stream ‘Soul Sphere’ Album, Guitarist Breaks Foot Tour In Jeopardy
We’ve got some good news and some bad news for the Born of Osiris fans out there. First the good news … the band is giving fans an early taste of their new Soul Sphere album, streaming it in full via YouTube. Check out the new music in the player at the top of this post.
“The whole story of the record involves three levels,” explains singer Joe Buras of the Soul Sphere story. “The first one is The Binding. You’re hanging, and you’re stagnant. The second is The Fight. You were hanging, but now you’re pulling away from this linchpin, whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual. The final is The Release. You break away and feel free, connected, and loved.”
The Soul Sphere album arrives in stores tomorrow (Oct. 23) and it’s available via Amazon, iTunes, GooglePlay and in a variety of merch options. You can also check out the vinyl version as well.
As for the bad news, Born of Osiris are in the midst of a lengthy tour and guitarist Lee McKinney just broke his foot. The musician revealed in an Instagram post showing his newly cast foot, “Fell and broke my foot last night. Surgery tomorrow, who knows what after that.” Check out the post below:
The band revealed in a Facebook posting that as McKinney was in the hospital being treated and they were awaiting word on his surgery and recovery that their show in Fresno, Calif. tonight had to be called off. They apologized. No further word has come concerning the remaining dates on their tour. See their upcoming tour dates at this location.
