Lynyrd Skynyrd Guitarist Gary Rossington Suffers a Heart Attack
Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington suffered a heart attack late last week, the band’s Facebook page confirmed Tuesday (Oct. 13). He is reportedly at home recovering from the incident.
Rossington is the only original Lynyrd Skynyrd member to remain in the band since its inception in 1964.
As a result of his recovery, the band is canceling two upcoming shows. The Terre Haute, Ind., show will be fully refunded and the Mt. Pleasant, Mich., concert will be rescheduled for next year.
