Death From Above 1979 NEW VIDEO RELEASED FOR THE TRACK “VIRGINS” FROM THE PHYSICAL WORLD TODAY
Globally revered and highly influential dance-punk duo Death From Above 1979 release a brand new, creepily compelling video for the track “Virgins” from their critically acclaimed album The Physical World. The visually arresting, provocative video for “Virgins“ was directed by Eva Michon. She also directed Life After Death From Above 1979, the feature documentary that captures the band rise, fall out and epically reunite. The documentary was released late last year and is currently available www.dfa1979-movie.com. Check out DFA1979‘s new video for “Virgins” at http://youtu.be/rJz0rq1gVLk

DFA 1979 broke up in 2006, while their debut album You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine and subsequent remix album continued to sell, making Jesse F. Keeler(bass, synths, backing vocals) and Sebastien Grainger(vocals and drums) an underground/overground sensation. After a 10 year hiatus, they decided to reunite and began performing live shows, picking up right where they left off, never missing a beat. DFA 1979 mark their comeback with their latest album The Physical World, produced by D. Sardy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, Wolfmother, Oasis) and released this past September 2014. Their rabid cult has only continued to amass even while the band remained inactive. The band’s mercurial return has helped fulfilled the DFA1979 void all have experienced and left press raving:
“Returning a decade later, they’re still crushing violent, angular riffs, but they’re also writing catchier songs. A throwback to a throwback that’s better the second time around.”
— Rolling Stone Magazine
“The most shocking thing about The Physical World is that it was worth the wait. The Physical World is a triumphant statement. Welcome back fellas, you have been missed.”
– Alternative Press Magazine
