As Florence + the Machine grows nearer and nearer to the How Big How Blue How Beautiful release date, fans are now being treated to a new single, “Ship to Wreck,” ahead of the album’s June 2 street date.

For fans giving the single a spin and wondering what inspired it, Welch has offered up her explaination of the track.

“I was thinking about my own self destructive side, and how you can make something only to tear it down, enjoy/destroy, create/devastate etc,” she said in a press release. “When you’re in that whirlwind, you often end up breaking the thing you love the most.”

The video, which was filmed in Welch’s home, will premiere next week. In addition to the upcoming premiere, Florence + the Machine will take the stage at Coachella this weekend.
