Sofa King Cool caught up with American Idol‘s VoKillz , Chimaira‘s Jim LaMarca, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony protege Johnny Givens and we discussed their new supergroup, how it came together and the future of the group, we also discussed their debut single “Mystikdeath I’m Down To Ride” their upcoming EP and how the band is managing the Pandemic and the havoc it caused on the music industry
Johnny Givens is prototypical a rap artist from Cleveland Ohio. 15 years in the Rap Scene with a 10 year hiatus. Givens was tied to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Crucial Conflict in his early days then went on hiatus for 10 years
VoKILLz describes himself as a “mystic death creature” vocalist, in reference to the animalistic growls, hisses and shrieks he uses in his singing. But despite appearances, he’s actually a really nice guy. “I’m not a serial killer or anything like that. I created a new genre called ‘mystic death trap metal,” says VoKILLz. A viral superstar known for his appearances on Tosh.0 Ridiculousness, and American Idol.
Jim LaMarca is best known as the bassist from Chimaira an American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in August 1998, the group was a member of the New Wave of American
Heavy Metal scene. The band’s name is derived from the word Chimera, a monstrous creature in Greek mythology.
