You Can Spend A Night At The Camp Where They Shot Friday The 13th
grab your swimming costumes — and hockey masks! It has been announced that the New Jersey Boy Scout camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is opening its doors to horror fans over the weekend of Friday, April 13. Why would fear fans want to visit a Boy Scout camp in New Jersey? Because Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco was the location used for Camp Crystal Lake in 1980’s franchise-spawning Friday the 13th (and, yes, we know Jason Voorhees doesn’t actually a hockey mask in the first film).
Visitors on April 13 and April 14 will be given a tour of the camp but a “VIP” package allows attendees to have dinner in the camp’s dining hall, stay overnight in a log cabin, and the next morning take part in what is being described as “a once in a lifetime activity” with the weekend’s special guest, Friday the 13th star Adrienne King. Does that activity involve a canoe? You’ll have to buy a ticket to learn the answer! But we can tell you that the weekend is a fundraiser for the non-profit camp.
More details about the Friday the 13th-themed weekend can be found at the Crystal Lake Tours website.
