Mike Tyson Opens New 40-Acre Cannabis Ranch After California Legalises Weed

Boxing legend, 51, has bought site in California City, a town with a population of just 15,000 people southwest of Death Valley

Iron Mike plans to take advantage of the state’s legalisation of recreational marijuana.

The ‘Tyson Ranch’ will have 20 acres for ‘master growers’ to have maximum control of the environment.

The boxing legend will also have his own school to teach farmers how to grow and develop their strains – called the ‘Tyson Cultivation School.’

The area will have its own amphitheater, complete with a luxury camping area and cabins.

Tyson has linked up with business partners Jay Strommen and Robert Hickman and has the full support of the cities mayor Jennifer Wood.

Medical marijuana has been legalized in the state of California for the past 20 years and Tyson’s ranch will look to carry out research to help develop its clinical benefits.

He is said to be a long-time supporter of medical marijuana and its clinical uses.

Said uses are in need of further research, with many entrepreneurial labs moving to consider looking at SciQuip’s range of equipment alongside other providers to give them ample ability to test and document the changes and the effects of the products.

With marijuana becoming more and more acceptable in the public’s perception, people are looking to the opportunities it could bring to their communities.

The US state is expecting a marijuana boom with legalization, and the mayor described the ranch as a “rebirth” for the city which will create needed jobs.

California City was launched in 1958 with the intention of making it as big as Los Angeles, but the community failed to attract migrants. There is a hope that this will change in the coming years, however.

It has a jail and a community college that serves the Edwards Air Force Base.
