The First Trailer For The Rock’s HBO Show ‘Ballers’ Is Here And It Looks Badass

Quick question: what do you get when you mix professional football, tailor-made suits, money, models, parties and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson?

The answer’s easy: one hell of a television show.

The Rock took to Twitter Friday (April 10) to release the first official trailer for the new HBO series, “Ballers.”

In the brief clip, the “San Andreas” star plays former football superstar Spencer Strasmore, who lives by the mantra: legends don’t retire, they reinvent. He’s brash, he’s sharp and, from the looks of it, he’s nobody to be messed with.

“Right now my dreams are all about deals and dollars,” says Strasmore. “I’m a financial manager and I will put your money to work.”

The 10-episode, half-hour series, which was created and executive produced by Steve Levinson (“Entourage”), also stars Rob Corrdry, Donovan Carter and Omar Benson Miller. Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg also serve as executive producers for the show.

“Ballers” premieres on HBO June 21.
