Paul McCartney and Beck join forces for “Drive My Car” — watch

Sir Paul McCartney provided the musical entertainment for PETA’s 35th anniversary gala at the Hollywood Palladium on Wednesday night. The former Beatle and noted humanitarian delivered a set full of fan favorites (“Let It Be”, “Hey Jude”, and “Lady Madonna”) as well as an animal rights–themed song that he wrote called “Looking for Changes”, which explores various forms of cruelty to animals in laboratories, such as cosmetic tests on rabbits and tobacco experiments on monkeys.

Another highlight came in the form of a surprise appearance from Beck, who joined McCartney for a duet rendition of “Drive My Car”. Watch fan-shot video below.
