N.W.A. Reunited for Their First Live Performance in 26 Years

With their great-looking biopic, Straight Outta Compton, due out in theaters later this summer, the surviving members of N.W.A. are feeling hyped. To help promote the upcoming flick, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, and MC Ren took the stage at this year’s BET Experience in Los Angeles on Sunday for the seminal hip-hop group’sfirst live performance in 26 years. While Dr. Dre was not in attendance, the trio powered through a seven-song set without missing a step. Snoop Dogg joined N.W.A. for “Fuck Tha Police,” and Ice Cube drove an LAPD cruiser onto the sage in front of a backdrop of scenes from Ferguson and the police response to a recent pool party in McKinney, Texas. Check out a (bass-heavy) video of the performance as well as the full setlist below. Straight Outta Compton hits theaters on August 14.
