Listen To Recent Phone Call From Charles Manson “I am Not About To Die”

Charles Manson is nowhere near death’s door, a friend of the murder mastermind told the Daily News Tuesday.

“He’s not about to die,” Illinois-based pal Ben Gurecki said in a phone interview. “He is strong. He is healthy. I’ve talked to him every night since he got out of the hospital.”

Gurecki posted one of his alleged calls with the notorious Manson Family leader to YouTube on Sunday.

He claimed Manson phoned from Corcoran State Prison Friday night, just hours after guards shuttled him back from Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif.

“I had some blood in the stool,” the man claimed to be Manson says in the eerie audio.

He says he suffered “rectal bleeding” caused by “a little growth” that’s “like a tumor.”

Gurecki asks during the call if the situation is “critical.”

“No, no. It’s small,” the man’s haunting voice says. “They make it big, cuz … cuz they want me, they want me to go under the knife.”

Gurecki, 47, vigorously denied a report that Manson was “too weak” for surgery and had to leave Mercy because there was nothing more doctors could do.

“He was given the option, and he elected not to do it,” Gurecki, who runs a website selling Manson music and memorabilia, said.

“He knows he can go back and get the surgery, and it will get him another free pass out to the hospital,” he said.

In the alleged call, the voice attributed to Manson also gripes that guards went into his cell while he was gone and removed his artwork, craft supplies, cider vinegar and nail clippers.

“That’s cold-blooded,” he says.

Manson, 82, was taken to Mercy early last week with a sigmoid lesion and lower gastrointestinal bleeding, an unidentified source told the Bakersfield Californian newspaper.

The convicted killer is serving a life sentence for instructing his followers to slaughter seven innocent people during a two-day reign of terror in Los Angeles in August 1969.

Debra Tate lost her pregnant sister Sharon Tate— an actress married to movie director Roman Polanski — to the bloodthirsty butchers.

While she’s determined to make sure Manson dies behind bars, Debra told The News last week that she isn’t rooting for his death.

“I’ve had to do some soul searching. I have no ill wishes for him. If he dies, I think I would shed a tear for him,” she said last Wednesday.

Gurecki said he believes Manson will live for years to come.

“I think we’ll be talking about Charlie until he’s 90,” he said.
