American Standards just released a new album titled Anti-Melody on April 28th. From the album, and premiered their first music video in over 2 years for the song “Writers Block Party” exclusively on Lambgoat with a second video for “Carpe Diem, Tomorrow” premiered with Revolver Magazine. They then toured through May with high profile features on Alternative Press and Tattoo. com sharing the stage with bands such as Zao, Every Time I Die, Atreyu, Emery, Comeback Kid and Norma Jean. All this done as a DIY, independent band!

“What started as social commentary on the growing divide in our society became very personal when our founding guitarist (Cody Conrad) passed of suicide and then soon after, my father of cancer. We went back in to re-write much of the album and in a lot of ways used it as therapy to cope with the experiences. Although intimate, at its core Anti-Melody is centered around the universal theme of separation on many levels.”
