‘Empire’ Season 2 Trailer Features New Feuds, Chris Rock’s Debut: Watch

Andre is determined to oust his father from the company in the latest footage.

Can Empire Entertainment make it out without its fearless leader Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard)?

That’s the question facing the rest of his family when Empire returns. In the new season two trailer, released Thursday, Andre (Trai Byers) is determined to remove Lucious as CEO of the company, as is his mother, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).

But obviously Lucious isn’t going to go down without a fight. “He needs to be handled,” he says ominously.

Now that Lucious has left his middle son Jamal (Jussie Smollett) in charge of the company, his sibling rivalry with Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) has hit a boiling point. “I’m gonna bury your album,” Jamal says.

And that’s not all. The new footage also features the formal debut of guest stars Chris Rock and Marisa Tomei — the latter whose character wastes no time picking sides in the Lyon family drama.
