American Horror Story APOCALYPSE ADDS LANGE, FARMIGA, SIDIBE, RABE, CONROY & NICKS

It was just earlier today that we passed along the awesome news that Jessica Lange is coming back to the world of Ryan Murphy’s AMERICAN HORROR STORY for the upcoming MURDER HOUSE and COVEN crossover season. The new season is called AHS: APOCALYPSE and a few hours ago, Murphy himself tweeted some killer new casting news, writing:

Guess who’s coming back for AHS APOCALYPSE? Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and….Stevie Nicks. So thrilled the family is together again!

So, yeah, for fans of such AMERICAN HORROR STORY mainstays as Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks it’s time to rejoice. I can only imagine they’ll be playing their respective roles from the previous seasons. I just wonder if Farmiga will be playing her Murder House role, or her Coven role… or both! I guess we’ll see this September.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has said the new season is

very high concept. It’s a season unlike anything we’ve done because there’s a big hook to it. There’s a huge thing that happens in episode five.”

Executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall adds,

The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins.”

Also in the cast of this season’s cast are Cody Fern, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Kyle Allen, and Joan Collins.

AHS: APOCALYPSE is set to premiere on FX on Wednesday, September 12th.
